The 4th Annual Oklahoma International Bluegrass Festival was held October 5-7, 2000 in historic Guthrie, Oklahoma. Uwe Krüger, a bluegrass musician from Switzerland, described Guthrie as “America without the K-Marts.” It is certainly a unique place and worth visiting any time of the year, but this annual event makes it an even more special place.

Since the festival began in 1997, I've tried to capture the entire scope of this festival with increasing success. Nevertheless, I am aware of a few gaps in this photo album. If you have photos that would improve this site, please contact me at don@shorock.com. The most notable omissions were:

  • the Fiddle Frolic (which I heard was great)
  • the jamming in the campground (since I never found the time to get there)
and photo quality of some of the nighttime performances at the ballfield was not as good as I would have wished.

Your comments on this site are always welcome. Send them to don@shorock.com.
