Typical Temperatures for the Walnut Valley Festival
This chart is based on records from 1970 to 1995 and, from September 7 to 27,
shows:
- the highest temperature recorded for each date,
- the average mean high temperature for each date,
- the average mean low temperature for each date, and
- the lowest temperature recorded for each date.

Data supplied by Mary Knapp, State Climatologist, Kansas State University
Observations:
- During WVF week, the average high is around 80°.
- The average low during the period is around 60°.
- It rarely goes more than a degree or two above 100° F.
- It rarely goes more than a degree or two below 32° F.
