The KBA Treblemakers have been performing since early 2011, and have been featured at such notable events as Silver Dollar City’s Bluegrass & Bar-B-Que, Walnut Valley Festival’s Acoustic Kids Wichita’s Riverfest and the Sally Mountain Festival. KBA Treblemakers was chosen as featured performers on the IBMA’s Youth Stage at the 2015 Wide Open Bluegrass Festival.
There have been several “generations” of the band, but all graduates of the Treblemakers are still making music. The current line-up consists of two sets of siblings; Wayne Ruble, age 16, and Mason Ruble, age 12, both multi-instrumentalists in the group. Caitlin Carlson, age 19, playing fiddle and Alyssa Carlson, age 17, plays bass. Dawson Tarrant, age 16, is the only founding member left in the band and plays guitar. Jacob Metz, age 16, is another multi-instrumentalist in the group and has written several of the songs they perform. Ella Bird, age 12, is the newest member of the group playing fiddle.
As a group, and as individuals, these talented people will be impacting the bluegrass music scene for a long time to come.
