2015 - Second place was awarded to Freddy Brown a retired gentleman from Scottsville, KY. This was his first time to enter the mountain dulcimer contest but he has entered other contests and has placed in Louisville, KY and Murfreesboro, TN. He has been playing the mountain dulcimer for about 10 years. In addition to the dulcimer Freddy also plays the piano and the lowed psaltery. His hobbies include being a Ham Radio operator, doing genealogy and curing country hams.
As a result of his second place finish Freddy won $150, the 2nd Place Trophy and a 6FHCRB Mountain Dulcimer by the Dulcimer Shoppe/McSpadden Mountain Dulcimers of Mountain View, AR.
