The band, Hickory Hill, from Texas has recorded for the fifth time with Good Times Again! and it is full of good new songs and mellow gospel material. The main songwriters, Jimmy Godwin and John Early (two songs each), have presented more than the usual token gospel themes. Their presentation is simple, acoustic and contains some very fine arrangements showing the playing ability ofthe fiddler Jimmy Godwin. Don Eaves, banjo player wrote the only instrumental and it spins a great melody ~and Hickory Hill shows their own fine style. The song "Cadillac," written by Jimmy Godwin, is a great song about a boy's pet horse. His other song "Pecos Wind" is a sample of very fine song writing. Good Times Again! is a good sample of music from a fine acoustic band from Texas.
