Andrew Wilson of Spokane Valley, WA is a 2012 first timer at the festival, and he says “it certainly will not be the last time here.” Andrew is a 33-year old strings teacher and touring musician. He tours with his family and they perform as the Wilson Family String Band. He says he has wanted to come to the festival for years and finally got the chance to come and bring his family. Other stringed instruments Andrew plays are the guitar, mandolin and bass. Music, music and reading are his hobbies. Being number one earned him a check for $275, the 1st Place Trophy, and the Emanuel Wilfer Fiddle represented by the Beautiful Music Violin Shop of Lawrence, KS.
