Jeremy came to the Festival because his buddy, Kurt Stephenson (who placed first in this contest) called him and urged him to come with him to Winfield and enter the contest.
When Jeremy was just four years old, his babysitter gave him his first banjo and he has been playing it ever since. When not playing music, he is collecting records and field recordings of older musicians. His collection includes many old 78 rpm records. Jeremy chose a Deering “New Generation” Deluxe Banjo by the Deering Banjo Company of Spring Valley, CA to take back home to Virginia.
