Maxwell Hughes is a Barista (coffee slinger) from Ft. Collins, CO. He says he does the coffee thing to feed his guitar playing. In addition to the guitar he also plays the mandolin. The guitar he played in the competition he says was a “run-over Cort SFX that used to be blue but is now sun faded to green.” Maxwell thinks the Festival has the most wonderful talent and that makes Winfield “the hottest spot on the earth.” When asked about returning, he says “OH YES!!!” His hobbies include rock climbing, bowling and foosball. For his efforts he takes home the 3rd Place Trophy and a Larrivee LV10E Deluxe Guitar by Jean Larrivee Guitars of Oxnard, CA.
