Wendy Songe

2016 - This is the fourth time Wendy Songe entered the National Mountain Dulcimer contest and she placed third. She hails from Tulsa, OK. She considers herself a music teacher and a songwriter. Wendy attends other dulcimer competitions in Texas and Arkansas and has place first in these competitions. She has been playing the mountain dulcimer for almost 6 years and also plays other instruments as the piano, guitar, ukulele, bodhran the djembe and others. Her latest CD was released in May of 2016 and it is entitled “Driven.” Her favorite pastime is music enrichment with special needs adults and teens. She won $125, the 3rd Place Trophy and a 4FGCS Mountain Dulcimer by the Dulcimer Shoppe/McSpadden Mountain Dulcimers of Mountain View, AR.
